Wellness Director | Mobile, AL | $92,000 - $98,000
About the Role
SavvyWise Workforce is recruiting a Wellness Director for an 80-resident assisted living and memory care community in Mobile, Alabama, including a 20-resident memory care neighborhood. This is a fully on-site clinical leadership role for an experienced Registered Nurse who understands the pace, relationships, and regulatory responsibilities of senior living. The right leader will pair strong clinical judgment with hands-on team development and a genuine commitment to resident-centered care.
Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day clinical services across assisted living and memory care.
• Supervise, coach, schedule, and develop clinical leaders and direct-care staff.
• Oversee resident assessments, service plans, admission documentation, change-of-condition follow-up, incident reporting, and caregiver documentation.
• Participate in pre-admission screening and help determine whether prospective residents can be safely supported.
• Coordinate continuity of care with physicians, families, home health, hospice, and other outside providers.
• Lead or participate in service-plan meetings, quality-improvement activities, and resident-care discussions.
• Support caregiver orientation and ongoing education through classroom and situation-specific training.
• Share on-call and manager-on-duty responsibilities as needed.
• Build a compliant, accountable clinical culture that protects resident dignity, choice, and quality of life.
Requirements
• Active, unrestricted Alabama or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license. RN licensure is required.
• Direct experience in both assisted living and memory care.
• Proven clinical leadership experience supervising and developing senior living care teams.
• Strong working knowledge of resident assessments, service plans, documentation, change-of-condition protocols, compliance, and quality improvement.
• Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and family-relations skills.
• Current CPR certification.
• Skilled nursing experience is helpful, but it does not replace the required assisted living and memory care background.
• Must live within a realistic daily commuting distance of Mobile. This position is fully on-site and is not designed for a long-distance commute.
What We Offer
• Competitive base salary of $92,000 to $98,000.
• A visible leadership role with the opportunity to shape clinical quality, team development, and resident outcomes.
• A mission-driven senior living environment focused on dignity, purposeful living, and strong relationships.
• Partnership with executive leadership and an interdisciplinary team.
