Responsibilities

Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for S-Corps, C-Corps, partnerships, LLCs, and high-net-worth individuals.

Conduct technical tax research on complex filings and multi-state compliance.

Review client financial records, general ledgers, and trial balances for accuracy.

Assist in drafting responses to IRS and state taxing authority notices.

Communicate with client personnel to gather documents and clarify bookkeeping details.

Manage tasks effectively within time budgets and administrative workflows.

Requirements

Approximately 2 years of tax staff experience, including some busy-season prep (below Tax Senior level).

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Eligible to sit for the CPA exam or actively pursuing licensure strongly preferred.

Experience with QuickBooks and public accounting tax software.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and responsive communication.

Able to work primarily on-site in the Spokane office.
